Transjabodetabek Blok M - Soekarno-Hatta Route Officially Begins Operations, Tariff of Rp3,500 for First Three Months

JAKARTA — The Jakarta Provincial Government has officially commenced operations of the Transjabodetabek route SH2 (Blok M – Soekarno-Hatta Airport) on Thursday, 12 March 2026. The new route, which will transport air passengers to the airport, will charge Rp3,500 per journey during the first three months.

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the Transjabodetabek SH2 route is a long-awaited service. The route serving passengers to Soekarno-Hatta Airport offers significantly lower fares compared to competing transport services.

“Today we are launching something new that the public has been waiting for – the opening of the Transjabodetabek SH2 Blok M-Soekarno-Hatta Airport service. Many people have been looking forward to this route,” Pramono said whilst officially launching the new route at the Blok M Terminal in South Jakarta, Thursday, 12 March 2026.

Pramono stated that the standard tariff structure for the new Transjabodetabek route would be Rp2,000 during peak hours (05:00-07:00 WIB) and Rp3,500 during regular hours (07:00-22:00 WIB). However, these standard fares will only apply during the initial three-month period.

“As we have noted, for the SH2 Blok M route, the Jakarta Provincial Government has decided that for the first three months, particularly in anticipation of Eid al-Fitr, we will maintain the tariff at Rp3,500 throughout this period,” he said.

Nevertheless, the Jakarta Provincial Government is likely to increase Transjabodetabek SH2 fares after three months of operation. Standard fares would place excessive burden on the provincial government in providing subsidies.

Pramono revealed that the tariff expected to apply after three months is estimated between Rp10,000 and Rp15,000. However, he stated he cannot confirm this at present.
