JAKARTA – The Transjabodetabek Blok M–Soekarno-Hatta Airport service officially commenced operations on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

This service is expected to serve as an alternative public transport option to the airport with affordable fares, an extended route, and facilities supporting passengers carrying luggage.

The new route was officially inaugurated by Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung together with Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin at Blok M Terminal in South Jakarta.

The Transjabodetabek SH2 route from Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport spans approximately 65.1 kilometres.

According to Ujang, Deputy Head of Jakarta’s Transportation Agency, the route has an estimated round-trip travel time of approximately 121 minutes.

“There are 13 stop points in Jakarta and 10 bus stops outside Jakarta,” Ujang said on Thursday.

The Transjabodetabek bus serving the Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta Airport route does not stop directly at the airport terminal.

The final stop is located in front of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Railway Station, which connects with Kalayang Station via skytrain.

Passengers can continue their journey to Terminals 1, 2, and 3 using the airport skytrain free of charge.

The Jakarta Provincial Government estimates that this route will serve approximately 1,900 to 2,000 passengers per day.

The estimated one-way travel time is approximately 65–70 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

The fares are set to support public mobility, particularly ahead of the peak travel period and Lebaran holiday season.
