Transjabodetabek Blok M–Soekarno-Hatta Airport Route Officially Commences 12 March with Fare of Rp3,500
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung announced that the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta will soon inaugurate the new Transjabodetabek route connecting Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta). The launch of this public transport service is scheduled for Thursday, 12 March 2026.
“For Transjabodetabek, we will inaugurate it on 12 March at 9:00 AM,” Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday (10 March).
Pramono stated that the regional government has not yet established an official fare for the new route operated by PT Transportasi Jakarta. Currently, Transjabodetabek fares on other routes remain at Rp3,500, the same as standard Transjakarta services.
However, specifically from the launch date through the Eid al-Fitr period, the fare for the Blok M–Soekarno-Hatta Airport route will be set at Rp3,500.
“Regarding ticket prices, I have not yet decided, but until Eid al-Fitr it will be the same as the existing rate,” he said.
He explained that permanent fare determination is still under review as the government continues to calculate operational costs for airport service, noting that several transit stops also factor into the cost structure.
“Why? Because it turns out that to reach the airport there are three stops that also incur costs,” he explained.
Nevertheless, Pramono emphasised that the airport route’s Transjabodetabek fare would ultimately remain significantly cheaper than other public transport modes or taxi services to Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
“But when the time comes we will decide, and it will certainly be much cheaper compared to other transport modes or taxis,” he concluded.
