Transjabodetabek Blok M–Soekarno-Hatta Airport Route Inaugurated on 12 March, Temporary Fare Set at Rp 3,500
Jakarta – Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has confirmed that the Transjabodetabek rapid transit route connecting Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) will be officially inaugurated on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
“Regarding the ticket price, I have not yet made a final decision, but there will be one, and until Eid al-Fitr it will be the same as the current fare of Rp 3,500,” said Pramono at Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.
Nevertheless, Pramono stressed that the official fare for the route has not been finalised. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is still calculating various components of operational costs.
According to him, one consideration is the presence of several stopping points along the journey to the airport that also affect service costs.
“Why? Because it turns out that to get to the airport there are three stops, each of which also has associated costs. But when the time comes, we will make a decision,” Pramono continued.
Nevertheless, Pramono assured that the travel cost using the Transjabodetabek service to the airport would be considerably cheaper compared to other modes of transport.
He is confident that the presence of this route can serve as an affordable transport alternative for people travelling to the airport.
“But what is clear is that it will definitely be much cheaper compared to taking other transport modes or taxis,” Pramono said.
