Transjabodetabek Blok M-Soekarno-Hatta Airport Fleet Equipped with Luggage Storage
The Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) has officially launched the Transjabodetabek route SH2 (Blok M–Soekarno-Hatta Airport) on Thursday, 12 March 2026. The service will operate daily from 07:00 to 22:00 WIB.
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the Transjabodetabek SH2 route will utilise low-deck buses. The low-deck design was deliberately chosen to facilitate passengers carrying large amounts of luggage.
“First of all, the buses are different. The deck is lower,” said Pramono following the official launch of the Transjabodetabek SH2 route on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
Furthermore, the buses deployed for the Blok M–Soekarno-Hatta Airport route have been specifically modified. The centre section of each bus is equipped with luggage storage for passenger suitcases.
“Of course, when people travel they usually have many suitcases, and not all of them will be able to get dedicated storage, so some suitcases will certainly be carried by passengers themselves. That is the consequence,” said Pramono.
Republika tested the bus service. The buses used are orange-coloured, the standard colour for the Minitrans fleet.
Fares for the Transjabodetabek SH2 route are set at Rp 2,000 from 05:00 to 07:00 WIB and Rp 3,500 from 07:00 to 22:00 WIB. However, these fares will only apply for the first three months.
