Jakarta, Indonesia — Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has stated that the fare for the Transjabodetabek SH2 shuttle bus service between Blok M and Soekarno-Hatta Airport is estimated to reach between IDR 10,000 and IDR 15,000 after the trial period concludes.

This fare is considerably higher than standard Transjakarta and Transjabodetabek bus fares, which cost IDR 3,500. According to Pramono, the tariff reflects the length of the route and operational costs borne by the government.

“Regarding the question of why the range is between IDR 10,000 and IDR 15,000, there are various costs that must be covered,” said Pramono during the official launch of the bus service at Blok M Terminal in South Jakarta on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

Additional operational costs include bus parking fees at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. “The buses are brand new and specifically designated for this service, so costs must be incurred. Also, at Terminals 1, 2 and 3, bus parking is not free of charge,” Pramono explained.

Nevertheless, the Jakarta provincial government has established a promotional fare of IDR 3,500 during the initial three-month operational period. This promotional tariff policy has been implemented primarily to welcome the Eid al-Fitr season whilst giving residents an opportunity to experience the new service.

The Blok M-Soekarno-Hatta route spans approximately 65.1 kilometres with an estimated travel time of around 121 minutes. In the initial phase, the service operates 14 buses running from 05:00 to 22:00 WIB, with waiting intervals (headway) of approximately 10 to 20 minutes. The service is expected to accommodate between 1,900 and 2,000 passengers per day.
