Transjabodetabek Blok M–Airport Route Terminates at Airport Railway Station; Passengers Continue via Skytrain
JAKARTA — The Transjabodetabek SH2 bus service from Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta Airport does not stop directly at the airport terminal. The final stop for the service is located in front of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Railway Station.
This was observed when Kompas.com travelled on the SH2 route from Blok M Terminal Lane 6 to Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
Based on observation, the estimated journey time for one complete trip is approximately 67 minutes. The bus departed from Blok M Terminal at 09:55 WIB and arrived at the Airport Railway Station at around 11:02 WIB.
However, the congestion did not last long. The bus fleet was still able to travel at speeds of up to approximately 50 kilometres per hour in the left lane of the toll road.
Upon arriving in front of the Airport Railway Station, the bus loudspeaker announced that this location is the final stop for the newly inaugurated SH2 route on the same morning.
Passengers wishing to continue their journey to Terminal 1, Terminal 2, or Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport must continue using the Kalayang Railway or the airport Skytrain.
This transport mode can be accessed by entering the station area, then taking the escalator to the Skytrain platform. The Kalayang railway service can be used free of charge by passengers.
One passenger, Teti (58), a resident of Cipinang, East Jakarta, said she was pleased with the Transjabodetabek airport service.
According to her, the travel cost is far more affordable compared to other modes of transport to Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
In addition to the low fare, she also values this service as providing an additional transport option to the airport besides taxis or airport trains.
“If the fare is only Rp3,500, I would rather use Transjabodetabek. It’s just a matter of how we manage the time so we don’t arrive late at the airport because the journey can get stuck in traffic,” explained Teti.
“It is very affordable, because a taxi can cost over Rp300,000 for a single journey,” she added.
Previously, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung and Tangerang City Mayor Sachrudin inaugurated the Transjabodetabek SH2 route from Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta Airport at Blok M Terminal, South Jakarta, on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
