Transforming Under Danantara, Telkomsel Achieves Healthy Growth in First Half
Focusing on customer needs and consistency in delivering services with the spirit of ‘Serving with All Our Heart’ continues to strengthen Telkomsel’s business fundamentals. Throughout the first half of 2026, Telkomsel recorded positive revenue and profitability growth. This achievement demonstrates how the transformation of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) can provide tangible benefits when realised through services that are increasingly secure, reliable, practical, and relevant to customers.
This performance aligns with the transformation direction of the Telkom Group as a national strategic digital holding under the management of Danantara Indonesia. This transformation encourages the strengthening of governance, increased business focus, asset optimisation, and an organisation that is increasingly agile in responding to the needs of the national digital ecosystem. As an operating company, Telkomsel translates this direction through disciplined investment, strengthening network quality, simplifying products and services, and providing a more practical customer experience.
Growing Healthily by Providing Added Value to Customers
In the first half of 2026, Telkomsel booked revenue of Rp55.6 trillion, a 3.3% increase compared to the same period the previous year. EBITDA also rose by 8.6% to Rp26.1 trillion, with margins strengthening from 4ability 44.6% to 46.9%. Net profit grew by 8.3% to Rp10.4 trillion, reflecting higher quality growth, efficient operations, and targeted investment execution.
This annual growth was supported by a 5.6% increase in mobile business revenue to Rp42.8 trillion and an 11.0% growth in digital business revenue to Rp40.8 trillion. Data consumption also increased by 0.8% compared to the previous year to 11.8 million terabytes, indicating the growing role of connectivity in assisting customers with work, education, business operations, and enjoying digital services.
The President Director of Telkomsel, Nugroho, stated that the achievement in the first half of 2026 is the result of customer trust and the collective efforts of all Telkomsel personnel to continue serving with all their hearts.
“We express our appreciation to all customers, Telkom Indonesia as the parent company, and Danantara Indonesia, which continues to strengthen the transformation direction, governance, and competitiveness of the Telkom Group,” said Nugroho on Sunday (2/8/2026).
Quality Growth Supported by Customer Productivity and Network Reliability
He added that healthy mobile business growth was supported through product simplification, disciplined offerings, and increased adoption of services with more relevant added value. In the first half of 2026, the average revenue per mobile customer increased by 9.0% compared to the previous year to Rp45.6 thousand, with the customer base reaching 153.5 million.
This achievement reflects increased customer productivity and a stronger need for Telkomsel’s digital services. To maintain the quality of the customer experience, as of the end of June 202ly, Telkomsel operated approximately 301,000 BTS, consisting of about 246,000 4G BTS, 6,000 5G BTS, and 49,000 2G BTS. Network strengthening is carried out in a targeted manner to provide services that are increasingly fast, stable, and responsive, while ensuring that investments support healthy and sustainable business growth.
For fixed broadband services, Telkomsel is performing strategic calibration to build a healthier, more productive, and sustainable customer base. This step resulted in approximately 9.5 million customers, with revenue growing 0.6% quarterly, average revenue per user increasing 3.4% to Rp210.8 thousand, and convergence penetration reaching approximately 65%.
Moving forward, Telkomsel will continue to improve service quality and optimise the network to strengthen the fundamentals of the fixed broadband business, as well as develop convergence solutions that are increasingly relevant to customer needs to support healthy and sustainable growth.
With increasingly healthy business fundamentals, strengthening customer quality, and the support of the Telkom Group transformation and the management direction of Danantara Indonesia, Telkomsel is committed to continuing to provide the best digital telecommunications service experience and driving Indonesia’s progress through the spirit of ‘Serving with All Our Heart.’
“As a leading digital telecommunications service provider, our responsibility is to ensure that the transformation is truly felt by customers through increasingly reliable networks, more practical services, stronger digital protection, and a continuously improving experience. We will continue to innovate so that every technological advancement provides real benefits for every person, home, and business activity in Indonesia,” concluded Nugroho.
