As part of accelerating the target of 100% piped water service coverage for Jakarta residents by 2029, as stipulated in Jakarta Provincial Governor Regulation No. 48 of 2025, PAM JAYA continues to develop infrastructure across various regions of the capital.

For the massive piped water infrastructure construction carried out in 2024-2025, PAM JAYA secured three Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) records:

  1. Longest main clean water pipe installation in a single year;

  2. Longest main clean water pipe installation using jacking method in a densely populated urban area;

  3. First main clean water pipe installation beneath the China-Indonesia High-Speed Rail (KCIC) route.

Technical Director Akhmad Santika stated these achievements reflect PAM JAYA’s commitment to accelerating piped water services for Jakarta residents. “Alhamdulillah, PAM JAYA is entrusted by the Jakarta Provincial Government to serve 1.2 million piped water customers with a 13,000-kilometre pipeline network. In line with the governor’s regulation, we are tasked with achieving 100% coverage by 2029, as quality water is a fundamental human need,” Santika said in a statement on Sunday, 24 May 2026.

“To support this target, PAM JAYA has prepared various pipeline network development projects and water supply improvements using technology adapted to field conditions. These efforts have also led to securing three MURI records,” he added.

The main pipeline construction aims to strengthen the distribution and availability of quality water for Jakarta residents. During implementation, PAM JAYA employed jacking pipe technology, which is more efficient and suitable for densely populated urban areas as it minimises disruption to local activities and surrounding infrastructure.

Beyond infrastructure achievements, PAM JAYA received recognition at the 2026 Human Capital Awards, winning the ‘Best Human Capital Innovation and Talent Development’ award for successfully implementing human capital strategies and talent development initiatives.

At the same event, PAM JAYA’s President Director Arief Nasrudin was honoured with the ‘Best Human Capital Leadership in Transformation and Sustainable Public Service’ award for his leadership in driving corporate transformation and strengthening sustainable public services.

These accomplishments form part of PAM JAYA’s efforts to deliver wider, modern, and sustainable piped water services to all Jakarta residents.
