Transformation Through JConnect, Bank Jatim Wins Digital Innovation Award 2026
Bank Jatim has received the Digital Innovation Award 2026 as recognition of its commitment to pursuing a sustainable digital-based business transformation. The honour also strengthens its position as one of the leading regional development banks in digital financial services. In a written statement on Saturday, 23 May 2026, Dodit Wiweko praised the award and said the achievement reflects the hard work of all Jatimers in delivering a service transformation that adapts to technological developments and customer needs through JConnect.
‘This award will certainly motivate us to continue delivering digital innovations that provide ease, speed, and convenience for the public. The business transformation undertaken by Bank Jatim is not only about strengthening technology but also about improving service quality and customer experience,’ he said.
Dodit, as he is familiarly known, explained that the award was given because Bank Jatim is judged to have rapid progress in developing a digital ecosystem through JConnect Mobile. The company is deemed capable of delivering innovations that strengthen the digitisation of financial services through a modern banking platform that integrates various financial transactions within a single digital channel.
Growth in JConnect users is also an indicator of Bank Jatim’s digital acceleration. In 2025, JConnect Mobile users reached 993,972, a rise of 22.40% year on year. Total transactions stood at Rp 65.77 trillion, up 29.55% year on year.
Meanwhile, JConnect IB Corporate users numbered 11,199, up 14.79% year on year, with transactions totalling Rp 23.36 trillion. QRIS Bank Jatim has reached 203,725 users with a transaction value of Rp 3.94 trillion, a 47.25% year-on-year increase.
‘In early May, Bank Jatim also successfully launched the latest JConnect version. With that, we target that by the end of 2026, JConnect users could reach 2 million,’ Dodit said.
The latest JConnect version offers 36 flagship facilities arranged according to customer needs or the voice of the customer. These include easy password changes without visiting a branch and a biometric-based login that is more practical and secure. In addition, top-up for electronic money cards is now integrated within the app.
‘Thus, JConnect is no longer just a mobile banking app for transfers and payments. It has evolved into a financial platform that customers can use for daily needs, from transactions and bill payments to more practical personal-finance management in a single app,’ he explained.
Dodit also revealed that through JConnect, Bank Jatim can broaden its target market to micro and small-to-medium enterprises as well as corporates. The various JConnect features also facilitate access to capital, financial management, and reinforce Bank Jatim as a digital partner for the business ecosystem.
‘Digitalisation remains the primary focus of the company in expanding access to banking services. We believe digitalisation is the key to delivering more inclusive and accessible financial services. In the future, Bank Jatim will continue to strengthen cross-sector collaboration to support digital-economy ecosystems in East Java and nationwide,’ he concluded.
