The National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) has released the investigation results regarding the accident between the Argo Bromo Anggrek train (KA 4B) and the KRL TM6000 (KA 5568A) at Bekasi Timur Station on 27 April 2026. One of the key revelations in the 141-page document is the communication between three train drivers and the Centralised Train Control Centre (PPKP).

Before the Argo Bromo Anggrek struck the KRL TM6000 at 20:52:12, a collision had occurred involving a KRL CRRC (KA 5181B) and a taxi at JPL 86 at 20:48:24. This impacted train KA 5568A, which was on the upstream track and was unable to proceed due to a crowd of people, despite having received a green aspect at Signal Block B103.

According to the KNKT report, the driver of KA 5181B contacted the Southern PPKP via an individual call by pressing the PTT button on the microphone without using the emergency call button. Information regarding KA 5568A being held at Bekasi Timur due to a crowd was not conveyed because the Southern PPKP was preoccupied with handling the aftermath of the accident at JPL 86.

The driver of KA 5568A also contacted the Southern PPKP via an individual call rather than an emergency call. The Southern PPKP control desk consists of several operating systems and communication tools, including four screens for train movement monitoring, five screens and microphones for communication, and two telephones.

This configuration requires operators to constantly divide their attention between various visual and audio information sources. Furthermore, the communication equipment at the Daop 1 Jakarta Control Centre uses external speakers as a medium for receiving radio communications. Sounds from several simultaneously operating radio consoles can be heard across the control room, creating noise pollution.

The following is the transcript of the conversations between the three drivers and the PPKP prior to the Argo Bromo Anggi Anggrek vs KRL collision:
