Transactions Go Digital, BSI Continues to Expand Face-to-Face Services
Banking transactions are increasingly shifting to digital channels. However, the need for customers to obtain in-person services remains. This situation has prompted Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) to continue expanding its face-to-face service network, one of which is through a BSI Gallery at the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) in South Jakarta. The BSI Gallery is located at the Kemenkes office on Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said Blok X-5 Kav. 4-9, South Jakarta. The presence of this service allows employees to access various banking needs without having to visit a branch office. BSI Director of Sales & Distribution Anton Sukarna stated that physical services are still needed because customer characteristics and needs vary. “Some transactions have been carried out digitally, including online account opening through BYOND by BSI. We also maintain offline services through outlets because customer characteristics are diverse,” Anton said in a statement on Monday (10/8/2026). According to him, Jakarta is one of the areas that BSI is focusing on to expand access to sharia banking. “Jakarta is one of the areas we are focusing on for optimising sharia financial inclusion. For this reason, we are getting closer to the community, including in offices and ministries,” he said. Through the BSI Gallery, customers can open accounts, access gold services such as gold instalments and pawning, as well as Bank Emas services via BYOND. Other services include sharia KUR financing, cash deposit and withdrawal ATMs, banking consultations, debit card replacements, and the BSI Hasanah Card. Secretary General of the Ministry of Health Kunta Wibawa Dasa Nugraha said the presence of banking services within the office environment makes it easier for employees to meet their banking needs without leaving the workplace. “The presence of the BSI Gallery within the Ministry of Health office environment is expected to make it easier for employees to access sharia banking services quickly, safely, and comfortably without having to leave the workplace,” Kunta said. BSI currently has 15 BSI Galleries in various locations. In the Greater Jakarta area, BSI’s network has reached more than 250 outlets. In addition to its physical network, BSI is developing services through BYOND by BSI, BSI Call 14040, BSI Net Banking, BSI ATMs, BEWIZE by BSI, and approximately 126,000 BSI Agents. The expansion of the BSI Gallery at the Ministry of Health was carried out with the support of the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara Indonesia).
