Trans Tuntas programme pushes transmigration land to be more productive: Minister

Through the Trans Tuntas programme, we are ensuring that the era of land distribution is over. Now the focus is on how the land is collectively owned to be more productive in an economic context.

He also said that a number of entrepreneurs had approached him seeking permits to carry out transmigration.

Several entrepreneurs have met with me, wanting to obtain permits for transmigration, and it turns out we are increasingly aware that transmigration land is no longer just about agricultural land, but there is mining, there is tourism, and there are other potential uses.

Therefore, the Ministry of Transmigration wants to ensure that the land’s potential is now truly productive, no longer merely about distributing land.

The Trans Tuntas programme is a comprehensive settlement programme for land issues in transmigration areas, such as disputes, unclear rights and agrarian conflicts.

Through data collection, legal settlement, certification, and revitalisation and optimisation of land, this programme provides certainty of rights for transmigrants and encourages productive land use.

With a collaborative approach and technology-based monitoring, Trans Tuntas is presented as a strategic and fair solution to create transmigration areas that are well-ordered, legal and effective.

Transmigration is not only about moving people from one region to another, but also about creating new opportunities for a better life.

To ensure this programme runs more effectively and provides real benefits for the community, the Indonesian Ministry of Transmigration is introducing five flagship programmes called the 5T Programme.

This programme is designed to accelerate problem-solving, improve the welfare of transmigrant communities, and build new economic zones with high competitiveness.
