Trans Flores Access Reopened as Crews Clear Landslides Following Earthquake
Officials used excavators to clear landslide material that had covered the Trans Flores road in Bray Village, North Ende, Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on Saturday (22/8/2026). The landslide occurred after a 7.7-magnitude earthquake shook the NTT region on 15 August 2026. The clearance was carried out to reopen the main intercity access route on Flores Island, which had been cut off. The disruption affected the mobility of residents as well as the distribution of aid and logistics for communities impacted by the earthquake.
