Tramadol Dealer Using Coffee Shop as Front in Bekasi Arrested, 693 Pills Seized

Police have uncovered the distribution of illegal drugs operating under the guise of a coffee shop in Bekasi, West Java. A suspect with the initials MR (26) was detained along with 693 pills classified as List G or prohibited substances.

“We, from the Narcotics Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Sub-directorate 3 Unit 2, have detained a man with the initials MR (26) on Sunday, 14 June 2026, at 3 p.m. Western Indonesian Time in the Bekasi area,” said AKP Mokhammad Fatoni, Unit Head of Sub-directorate 3, Jakarta Metropolitan Police Narcotics Directorate, in a statement on Tuesday (30/6/2026).

The case came to light after police received information from the public regarding the sale of hard drugs classified as List G, with the transaction location disguised as a coffee shop. Following up on the report, the Operations Team conducted an investigation.

“The suspect was successfully detained by Unit 2 of Sub-directorate 3, Jakarta Metropolitan Police Narcotics Directorate, on Sunday (14/6) at around 3 p.m. Western Indonesian Time at a roadside stall located in Mustika Jaya, Bekasi,” he said.

During a search, police found hundreds of hard pills suspected of being traded illegally. From the suspect, police seized evidence in the form of 445 Tramadol pills, 128 Hexymer pills, and 120 Trihexyphenidyl 2 mg pills.

“In addition, police also seized two empty plastic clip packages, one mobile phone, and cash from sales amounting to Rp 330,000, as well as a notebook suspected of being used to record the drug sales transactions,” he explained.

The suspect and the evidence have been taken to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Narcotics Directorate office for further investigation.
