Trains service disappointing
JAKARTA (JP): Hundreds of passengers on the morning train from Bekasi to Senen were enraged yesterday when they were told to alight at the Gambir station on the grounds that their destination was "too busy" to enter.
The disappointed passengers had to find other means of transportation during the rush hours to reach their places of work.
"What does (state-run railway company) Perumka think it has done to us? We are going to work, not cruising around the city," a passenger said.
A mother who wanted to bring her sick child to a hospital in the Senen area had to carry him to the Jatinegara station in East Jakarta, Antara reported.
Some regular passengers from Bekasi to Jakarta said that Perumka often changes its routes and schedules at the last minute. (pan)
