Training for Civil Registry Officials Held, Personal Data Protection Receives Attention

DEPOK, KOMPAS.com - The Directorate General (Ditjen) of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) held Technical Guidance (Bimtek) to Enhance the Capacity of Population Data Managers for Provincial and District/City Disdukcapil Officials in 2026.

The Directorate General of Dukcapil, Teguh Setyabudi, stated that the event is intended as an effort to strengthen the apparatus of disdukcapil.

“Because whatever it is, human resources are also very influential,” said Teguh when met in Depok on Wednesday (6/5/2026).

Teguh explained that they are also continuously strengthening from the network side. Then, no less important is from the data security side.

“We ensure that we follow the procedures of the Information Security Management System (SMKI) and we also implement it for all parties, both us at Dukcapil, data managing institutions, and even including data user institutions, they use ISO 27001,” he said.

“We will continue to carry out data security, because population data is indeed very important, very urgent. And it also concerns personal data protection issues, how we must also give great attention,” he emphasised.
