Train, truck collide

JAKARTA (JP): A cargo train and truck were involved in a
collision in Sudimara, Tangerang yesterday, leaving one person
severely injured.

"The severely injured victim is the driver of the truck," an
official of the state-railway company Perumka said.

The unnamed official said the collision delayed other
passenger trains between Sudimara and Pondok Ranji stations for
two hours, Antara reported, causing many commuters to cancel
their trips to their offices.

He said the collision was caused by the absence of a railway
gate at the site, even though warning signs are installed. (hhr)
