Train Collides with Bus in Bangkok, Eight People Dead

A collision between a freight train and a public bus in Bangkok has killed at least eight people on Saturday (16/05/2026). The accident also caused 25 other people to be injured.

Firefighters and rescue teams were deployed as fire burned the bus and vehicles nearby.

The rescue team worked to pull out victims from the wreckage, while firefighters struggled to put out the fire, officials said as reported by Reuters.

The fire has now been successfully extinguished, while rescuers continue to search for victims. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
