Train accident injures 25 people

LAHAT, South Sumatra: At least 25 passengers on a Serelo economy-
class train were injured when their train collided with another
train near a station in Banjarsari subdistrict, Lahat regency, on
Wednesday. No one was killed in the accident, which happened a
week after four people died in a train accident in Jakarta.

"Suddenly there was a strong impact. I hit my head against
something," said Untung, a train passenger.

Kuslani, the head of the train station in Banjarsari, said the
train driver was able to put on the brakes to lessen the impact
of the collision. The injured passengers are being treated at a
Lahat hospital. -- JP
