Traffic Volume on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road Increases During Long Holiday

Karawang (ANTARA) - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded an increase in traffic volume on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road during the long holiday of the Ascension of Jesus Christ 2026.

Vice President of Corporate Secretary and Legal at PT JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, in a statement in Karawang, West Java, on Friday (15/5), said that traffic flow during the long holiday was observed to be heavy.

Based on daily traffic data for shift 1 on Friday, as many as 9,890 vehicles passed through the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road heading towards the eastern Trans Java region via the Cikampek Utama toll gate.

“This figure increased by 1.47 percent compared to normal traffic of 9,747 vehicles,” said Ria.

Meanwhile, vehicles from the eastern Trans Java region heading towards Jakarta via the Cikampek Utama toll gate were recorded at 55,424 vehicles.

The number increased by 7.12 percent compared to normal traffic of 51,742 vehicles.

On 13-14 May 2026, as many as 77,198 vehicles passed through heading towards the eastern Trans Java region via the Cikampek Utama toll gate.

According to Ria, this number increased by 40.41 percent compared to normal traffic of 54,982 vehicles.

During the last two days, Jasa Marga officers together with the police have several times implemented situational contraflow traffic management.

This step was taken to maintain the smooth flow of vehicles on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road during the long holiday.

PT JTT advises Trans Java toll road users to always prioritize safety and plan their journeys well.

Road users are also advised to ensure that the vehicle and driver are in good condition, and to check the sufficiency of fuel and electronic money balances before traveling.
