The road leading to Taman Margasatwa (TM) Ragunan from Jati Padang, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, was heavily congested this afternoon. Vehicle queues stretched for approximately 1.5 kilometres. Monitoring at the location on Sunday (28/6/2026) at 15.20 WIB showed the traffic jam began from the Pasar Minggu Regional General Hospital intersection to the entrance of TM Ragunan. Vehicles were seen moving slowly towards the zoo. Private cars, motorcycles, tourist buses, and Transjakarta buses were all caught in the congestion. Several motorcyclists were observed weaving through gaps between vehicles to keep moving. Meanwhile, Transjakarta buses crawled along with the long queue. Traffic flow from the opposite direction appeared much lighter. Along the road, several vendors were seen selling mats and bottled water. At several points, people were seen exiting the TM Ragunan area and waiting for pick-ups around the Ragunan Terminal. According to official information from Taman Margasatwa Ragunan, entry tickets are being offered free of charge to all Indonesian citizens (WNI) ahead of Jakarta’s anniversary. The free ticket period is valid on 27-28 June 2026.
