Chief of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Irjen Agus Suryonugroho carried out the “Polantas Menyapa dan Melayani” activity in Bali. This event forms part of efforts to strengthen synergy between traffic police and the community, particularly automotive communities.

Irjen Agus met with the Bali Car Workshop Association (PBMB) in the Besakih area, Bali, on Thursday (16/4/2026). On that occasion, he stated that the “Polantas Menyapa dan Melayani” programme is a direct instruction from National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to bring police services closer to the public.

“I am the Kakorlantas of the Indonesian National Police, currently in the Island of the Gods, Bali, specifically in Besakih. This Polantas Menyapa programme is an order from Mr Kapolri,” said Irjen Agus.

He also appreciated the active role of PBMB in contributing to the smoothness and safety of traffic in Bali, particularly through voluntary workshop services.

“Today I am pleased to see PBMB, which serves as a volunteer workshop in Bali. They assist vehicles that may have issues by providing free servicing here,” he continued.

On that occasion, Kakorlantas also met with officials from the Bali Regional Indonesian Amateur Radio Organisation (ORARI) present at the location.

In addition to conversing with PBMB Bali officials, Kakorlantas also spoke with Bali Regional ORARI officials.

The Polantas Menyapa activity is expected to enhance public feelings of safety and comfort, while also strengthening relations between the police and local communities in Bali.
