Traffic Police Chief: Traffic on Cipali Toll Road Smooth After Implementation of One-Way from Km 263-70

The Indonesian National Traffic Police Corps implemented the second stage of one-way traffic from kilometre 263 on the Pejagan toll road to kilometre 70 on the main Cikampek toll road today. Kakorlantas Polri Irjen Agus Suryonugroho stated that traffic conditions on the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) toll road are now gradually smoothing out following the application of the one-way system. “Regarding the traffic situation on Cipali, it is now very smooth because we have opened the precise segmental one-way in the first and second stages,” said Irjen Agus after inspecting the functional Japek II South toll road in West Java on Friday (27/3/2026). Irjen Agus noted that the general return flow today remains under control. An evaluation of the one-way implementation for the return journey will be conducted tomorrow. “For today’s return flow, it is sufficiently controlled, and tomorrow we will evaluate again whether to extend the one-way return or possibly pull it back to 414,” he explained. Irjen Agus further detailed that traffic engineering from kilometre 70 to 55 on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road has also been implemented. Contraflow will be applied if the flow of vehicles heading to Jakarta increases. “We have implemented contraflow from kilometre 70 to 55 due to the generation of flow from this morning to afternoon and anticipation for later evening,” he said. “Usually, in the evening, departures from Trans Java towards Jakarta generate flow in the evening until night, up to dawn. If at kilometre 70 additional two-lane contraflow is needed, we will evaluate it with the Director General of Jasa Marga,” he added. It is known that the second stage of precise one-way from kilometre 263 on the Pejagan toll road to kilometre 70 on the main Cikampek toll road was enforced this morning at 10:23 WIB. Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi directly led the implementation of that one-way system.
