Traffic Police Chief States Cipali Toll Road Traffic is Now Smooth After One-Way Implementation
The Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Polri, Irjen Pol Agus Suryonugroho, stated that traffic on the Cipali Toll Road is now running smoothly after the introduction of one-way traffic engineering. “The traffic conditions on Cipali are now very smooth because we have opened the one-way in the precise first and second stages, and it is currently well managed,” he said in Bekasi, West Java, on Friday. For information, on this Friday, the first stage of the Presisi one-way was implemented from KM 132 of the Cipali Toll to KM 70 of the Cikampek Main Toll, while the second stage of the Presisi one-way was applied from KM 263 of the Pejagan Toll to KM 70. Agus said that his side would evaluate to determine whether the one-way would continue until tomorrow. “Tomorrow, we will evaluate again whether the return flow one-way will be extended or perhaps pulled back to KM 414. Of course, based on analysis from traffic counting that we always coordinate with the Director of Jasa Marga,” he stated. Furthermore, the two-star police general said that the Polri Traffic Corps also implemented contraflow traffic engineering from KM 70 to KM 55 due to the increase in traffic flow. “Usually, in the afternoon departing from Trans Java towards Jakarta, the surge occurs in the afternoon until night,” he said. If two-lane contraflow is needed later, he assured that coordination would first be carried out with Jasa Marga.
