Jakarta — The Head of the Traffic Police Corps (Kakorlantas) Irjen Pol. Agus Suryonugroho has stated that the establishment of the 2026 Unified Ramadan Transport Command Centre demonstrates that the state is present during the Ramadan exodus period.

“This certainly indicates that the state is present to manage the chaos of outbound and return operations, including Ramadan transport,” he said during the launch of the 2026 Unified Ramadan Transport Command Centre at the Ministry of Transportation building in Jakarta on Friday evening.

Agus is confident that the mudik operation, led by Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi, will run smoothly as it has been meticulously prepared.

“Because the Minister has had commitment from the start. Government policy has been decided from the beginning, including work-from-anywhere (WFA) arrangements and joint decisions, along with many other decisions that have all been communicated to us,” he said.

Furthermore, he stated that the Indonesian National Police is launching Operation Ketupat 2026, which focuses not only on traffic security but also on ensuring safe and controlled conditions in the field of maintaining public security and order (harkamtibmas), including security, safety, order, and traffic flow smoothness (kamseltibcarlantas).

The Minister of Transportation is strengthening oversight of transport operations through the 2026 Unified Ramadan Transport Command Centre, which operates at the Transportation Ministry headquarters in Jakarta from 13-30 March.

“This command centre serves as the national coordination hub, functioning to monitor transportation operational conditions during the Ramadan transport period, expedite inter-agency coordination, and ensure that every development in the field can be handled quickly and appropriately,” said the Minister.

The unified service command centres have been established at the regional level to strengthen oversight, monitoring, and evaluation of transport operations during the Ramadan transport period, which continues through the end of March.
