Jakarta — The Head of the National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas), Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, has announced that more than 32,000 returnees have registered for the Free Precision Homecoming 2026 programme initiated by the National Police.

“The enthusiasm of more than 32,000 returnees is concrete evidence that the Free Precision Homecoming 2026 programme is highly anticipated by the general public,” he stated in Central Java on Monday.

He noted that the free homecoming programme is not merely a matter of transport logistics, but rather a demonstration of the National Police’s humanitarian attention and action for the community, as well as a strategic step in supporting the smooth and secure flow of holiday-season migration nationwide.

The initiative aligns with the police’s annual message this year: “Safe Homecoming, Happy Family”.

He expressed hope that through this facility, Free Precision Homecoming participants would feel assured during their journey, arrive safely at their hometown, and experience happiness when reuniting with family.

According to the latest report from Operation Ketupat 2026 command posts until Monday, public enthusiasm for utilising this safe transport facility has been monitored as very high across various regions of Indonesia.

In total, the programme has successfully registered 32,721 participants who have been dispatched through the Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of regional police forces across the country.

To support mass mobility of such large numbers, the National Police has deployed an adequate fleet of transport vehicles, comprising 663 buses, 29 Hiace vans, and one passenger motor ferry (KMP).

Central Java Regional Police represents the region with the largest concentration of participants, reaching 13,040 people with support from 326 buses. This is followed by the West Sumatra Regional Police command, which is facilitating a total of 12,000 returnees.

Meanwhile, in the capital region, Metro Jakarta Regional Police is also contributing significantly by dispatching 2,500 participants using 60 buses.
