The Head of the Traffic Police Corps (Kakorlantas), Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, has expressed appreciation for the role of traffic police in maintaining security, order and safety, ensuring that conditions remain secure and controlled.

“I wish to convey my appreciation and gratitude for all assignments, whether in operational, functional or other fields. The Traffic Police Corps remains controlled to this day,” said Agus in an official statement on Tuesday (10 March).

Kakorlantas also called on personnel to work together to transform the face of the traffic police into a humane service and to continually protect the community.

“There are many policies in place regarding how we can serve the community sincerely, which is part of the National Police Chief’s directive starting from embracing the community and serving them,” said Inspector General Agus.

Regarding preparations for Operation Ketupat, Inspector General Agus noted that his office had ensured that the journey home and return of the public during the Eid holiday could proceed safely and smoothly.

“Operation Ketupat is not merely about traffic management, nor solely about securing the exodus and return journey, but about protecting the social and spiritual moment until Eid al-Fitr and Nyepi celebrations remain safe and conducive, secure in terms of public order and smooth in terms of traffic flow,” he said.
