Operation Ketupat 2026 will commence from 13 to 25 March 2026. Ahead of its implementation, the National Traffic Police Chief Irjen Agus Suryonugroho, together with relevant stakeholders, held a joint prayer ceremony to ensure that services to the public during the homecoming and return exodus run optimally.

Irjen Agus and Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi led the joint prayer ceremony for Operation Ketupat 2026 at the KM 29 Cikampek Toll Road Command Centre, West Java, on Thursday, 12 March 2026. The event was conducted in a simple yet solemn manner.

Also present were Jasa Marga Managing Director Rivan A Purwantono, Jasa Raharja Managing Director Muhammad Awaluddin, Road Traffic Director of the Transport Ministry Rudi Irawan, and several Traffic Police Command unit heads. The presence of all stakeholders demonstrated strong synergy and collaboration in Operation Ketupat 2026.

On this occasion, the National Traffic Police Chief, serving as Operation Ketupat 2026 Commander, expressed hope that the operation supporting Eid al-Fitr homecoming services would proceed smoothly in accordance with the tagline from National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo: “Safe Homecoming, Happy Families.”

“Operation Ketupat with the tagline from the National Police Chief ‘Safe Homecoming, Happy Families’ must proceed as planned, not only in traffic management and overseeing departures and returns, but also ensuring that the social and spiritual momentum of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr and Nyepi, including the entire Operation Ketupat, remains secure from crime and flows smoothly in traffic,” said the Traffic Police Chief.

Irjen Agus revealed that various preparations had been conducted well in advance in coordination with relevant parties such as the Transport Ministry, Public Works Ministry, Jasa Marga, Jasa Raharja, and all other stakeholders.

With the various preparations undertaken, Operation Ketupat 2026 is expected to run smoothly and repeat the success achieved in previous years.

“The nation has an extraordinary goal of people departing for their hometowns, because Operation Ketupat is a journey of longing with the community and for the homeland, and when they arrive, they must reach their destinations safely and happily, and return to their posts also secure,” said Irjen Agus.

The joint prayer ceremony also featured a ceremonial rice cone (tumpeng) cutting by Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi. He was accompanied by the Traffic Police Chief and distributed aid to orphans supported by the Traffic Police Command.

“Therefore, I request the cleric to ensure that the entire series is blessed by God Almighty, and if the 2025 operation runs smoothly, then 2026 must be improved further,” he said.
