Traffic on MBZ Toll Road to Cikampek Congested This Morning

The MBZ Toll Road towards Cikampek is congested again this morning. The congestion is occurring due to the continuously increasing traffic volume.

Observed from the X account of PT Jasa Marga, the congestion was reported on Thursday (19/3/2026), starting at 09.35 WIB. Congestion is occurring at several points.

“The MBZ Toll Road also has congestion heading to Cikampek. Congestion from Km 16 to Km 27 due to dense traffic volume. Then dense again from Km 28 to Km 33 also due to traffic volume. Then dense again from Km 34 to Km 41 also due to traffic volume, and from Km 42 to Km 48 dense traffic volume,” said Jasa Marga call centre officer Sabda when contacted on Thursday (19/3).

The MBZ Toll Road was temporarily closed due to the congestion. The closure was carried out at 07.34 WIB and has now been reopened.

The closure was implemented situationally to ease the traffic congestion. As of now, the MBZ Toll Road is open.

“Currently, the MBZ Toll Road is under an open-close system, but it is open for now. It is adjusted by the police for the timing, we cannot confirm,” said Sabda.

In addition, the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road is experiencing congestion this morning at several points. The congestion is also due to the increase in vehicle volume.

“The Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road towards Cikampek has congestion due to traffic volume, Km 16 to Km 18 dense due to traffic volume, Km 19 to Km 27 dense due to traffic, Km 28 to Km 36 dense due to traffic volume,” said Sabda.

As of 09.35 WIB, contraflow engineering is being implemented on the right lane from Cikampek Main Km 70-Cikarang Centre Km 36+900.

In addition to contraflow, one way is being implemented from Cikampek Main Km 70 to Salatiga Km 459, specifically for vehicles heading to Solo/Surabaya.
