Traffic on Jakarta's Toll Roads This Morning: Smooth, Congested, and Contraflow in Place
Traffic on several toll roads in the Jakarta metropolitan area was mixed on Friday morning (22 May 2026). Some sections were clear, while others were congested, prompting contraflow traffic arrangements. According to Kompas.com, via the official X account of PT Jasa Marga at 06:31 WIB, conditions on the Tol Dalam Kota remained clear in both directions. Nevertheless, contraflow was applied on the Tol Dalam Kota to ease congestion, specifically between the Halim flyover and Senayan, from 3 km 01+300 to 08+100. Officers urged motorists to remain orderly in the queues. ‘06:31 WIB #Tol_DalamKota After GT Halim 3 KM 01+300 - Senayan KM 08+100 CONTRAFLOW LANE/right is IMPLEMENTED, please keep orderly in the queue,’ wrote @PTJasaMarga. Meanwhile, conditions differed on the Jakarta–Tangerang Toll Road. Congestion was reported at several points due to high traffic volumes and a heavy vehicle incident in the left lane. Additionally, a trailer vehicle experienced a fault near KM 15 towards Kunciran, further slowing traffic. Separately, contraflow was also implemented on the Kebon Jeruk–Tomang section to anticipate congestion from the opposite direction. However, not all sections faced disruption. The JORR W2U Toll and the Serpong–Cinere Toll were reported to be clear in both directions.
