Traffic on ASTRA Infra Toll Roads Remains High Ahead of Eid
JAKARTA - Traffic volume on several ASTRA Infra toll roads is still relatively high ahead of H-2 for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah compared to the average daily traffic. For example, on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road, around 102,000 vehicles passed through on Thursday, 19 March 2026, which is about 35% lower than normal daily traffic and down 6.6% from the previous year’s Eid period. As of now, the one-way traffic arrangement has been halted, and traffic on the Cipali Toll Road has returned to normal two-way flow. The implementation and cessation of the one-way system are at the discretion of the police. Meanwhile, on the ASTRA Infra Jombang-Mojokerto Toll Road, approximately 58,000 vehicles passed on H-2 for Eid, which is 117% higher than normal daily traffic and up 6% compared to last year’s Eid period. To assist road users in planning their journeys carefully, ASTRA Infra provides the Mudik Guidebook, which serves as a guide for drivers during the mudik and return flow periods. The information included covers basic details about ASTRA Infra, territorial boundaries, call centre, rest area facilities, toll rates, and alternative rest spots near toll gate exits that can be visited if rest areas are full. During the peak mudik period for Eid, ASTRA Infra urges all road users or drivers to rest at rest areas or outside the toll road if feeling tired or after a maximum of four hours of driving. In the event of emergencies or if assistance from officers is needed, road users can directly contact ASTRA Infra’s communication centre (call centre).
