Traffic jams and no police
Traffic jams and no police
From Bisnis Indonesia
The recent downpour in Jakarta caused traffic jams afterward, as is usually the case. But, despite the fact that traffic lights were functioning the congestion caused further flooding, this time that of major arterials.
Worse still, no police were to be found regulating the traffic flow during the busy afternoon. In Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, the area near the Police College campus -- which I have never known to be congested -- suffered from traffic jams. Again, no police were in sight.
This issue must be addressed as, when it rains, the roads become congested so quickly that main highways are immediately flooded.
