Traffic in front of the DPR Building in Central Jakarta was closed on Thursday evening. The closure was a result of crowds still remaining at the location.

Based on monitoring at 7:00 p.m. Western Indonesia Time, traffic on Jalan Gatot Subroto heading towards Slipi was still closed from the intersection near the Jakarta Convention Centre to around the Ministry of Forestry. Crowds were still present in front of the DPR Building. Police also remained on guard at the location.

As is known, earlier in the afternoon, the Pati United Community Alliance (AMPB) had conveyed their aspirations in front of the DPR Building. The AMPB crowd then left the DPR Building at around 2:00 p.m. Western Indonesia Time after being received by DPR leaders.

After the AMPB crowd dispersed, other groups of demonstrators arrived at the DPR Building. Several groups then began to withdraw from the DPR Building at 5:50 p.m. Western Indonesia Time. They were observed leaving the DPR area.

However, after 6:00 p.m. Western Indonesia Time, crowds were still observed remaining in front of the DPR. They appeared to be filling the fence of the DPR Building located on Jalan Gatot Subroto. The remaining crowd appeared not to be wearing any group attributes.
