As of today, the last day of this long weekend, Sunday, we have not yet implemented any traffic engineering measures such as a one-way system from Jakarta towards Puncak, given that the current vehicle volume is still normal,” said Head of Traffic at the Bogor Police, AKP Afif Widhi Ananto, on Sunday (17/5/2026).

“Therefore, we are maintaining the two-way traffic flow in both directions, from Jakarta and towards Puncak,” he added.

As observed by detikcom at the Gadog intersection, traffic appears smooth in both directions. Vehicles travelling from Jakarta to Puncak and Cianjur, as well as those heading in the opposite direction, are moving without obstruction. There is almost no long queue, unlike what was seen during the holiday period a few days ago.

Vehicle flow towards Puncak occasionally slows down at several intersections, such as Simpang Pasir Muncang, Simpang Pasir Angin, and along Jalan Hankam in Cisarua District, Bogor Regency.

Afif stated that the vehicle volume from Jakarta to Puncak tends to be low. This is different from the first day of the long weekend on Thursday.

“In contrast to the first day of the long weekend, which was Thursday, when a one-way system was implemented at 07:00. However, given that traffic is currently flowing smoothly and remains manageable, we have not yet implemented a one-way system in the upward direction,” he said.
