Traffic Flow Remains Controlled Despite Increased Vehicle Numbers During Operation Ketupat 2026
Jakarta — The Head of the Traffic Police Corps (Kakorlantas) Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho stated that traffic flow on the first day of Operation Ketupat 2026 on Friday, 13 March, remained adequately controlled despite an increase in vehicle numbers.
“Based on today’s monitoring, traffic conditions remain sufficiently controlled. There has indeed been an increase,” he said at the Jasa Marga JTMC Building in Bekasi, West Java, on Saturday morning.
Beyond traffic monitoring, the Police also observed maintenance of security and public order (harkamtibhas). The results indicated that the situation also remained adequately controlled.
In line with Kakorlantas, the Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi also stated that traffic flow on the first day of Operation Ketupat 2026 was running smoothly, despite vehicle numbers being slightly above normal.
“So far what we see is still running slightly above normal, but relatively running quite smoothly,” said Transport Minister Dudy.
