Traffic Flow: 39,085 Vehicles Crossed MBZ Elevated Toll Road
PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) recorded 39,085 vehicles passing through the Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) elevated toll road leaving Jakarta on Friday, 13 March.
“This volume increased by 25.84 per cent compared to normal traffic of 31,060 vehicles,” said Desti Anggraeni, General Manager of Operations and Maintenance at PT JJC, according to Antara news agency on Sunday, 15 March 2026.
She explained that the increase in vehicle volume was also experienced in the opposite direction, from east to Jakarta on the same section and period. Vehicle volume reached 28,669, up 18.58 per cent from normal daily traffic of 24,177 vehicles.
Overall, the total number of vehicles crossing the MBZ elevated toll road in both directions on H-8 Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah reached 67,754 vehicles. Desti stated that this increase in traffic volume also indicated that the wave of the Eid exodus (mudik) or population mobility was becoming evident ahead of the peak of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr migration.
Jasamarga continues to urge road users who traverse the MBZ elevated toll road to prioritise safety in order to support smooth and secure travel.
Road users are requested to ensure that driver and vehicle conditions are in optimal condition, maintaining adequate electrical capacity and fuel reserves. Additionally, they should anticipate potential weather changes, particularly rain, which can affect visibility and road surface conditions.
“We urge all drivers and travellers to prioritise safety so that the journey can take place safely and comfortably to the destination,” she said.
Road users can also access current information and request toll road traffic services through the Jasa Marga Group’s 24-hour call centre at number 133, Twitter @PTJASAMARGA, and the Travoy 4.5 application.
