Traffic Engineering to Be Implemented During Thai PM's Visit to Jakarta
Traffic engineering will be implemented along several of Jakarta’s protocol roads during the planned state visit of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, His Excellency Anutin Charnvirakul, to Indonesia.
The Thai Prime Minister’s state visit is scheduled to last two days, on Monday and Tuesday, 3–4 August 2026.
“To ensure the smooth running of events and as a mark of respect, officers in the field will carry out escort duties and temporary traffic arrangements on several protocol roads in Jakarta,” read the announcement from the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya via the official TMC Polda Metro Instagram account on Monday (3/7).
The roads to be traversed by the visiting delegation, and therefore affected by the traffic arrangements, include:
Jalan Halim Perdanakusuma
Jalan MT Haryono
Jalan Jenderal Sudirman
Jalan MH Thamrin
Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat
Jalan Gatot Subroto
Jalan Gerbang Pemuda
Jalan Asia Afrika
Jalan Sisingamangaraja
Jalan Trunojoyo
Traffic engineering will only be carried out while the state guest’s convoy is passing through.
Residents travelling along these routes are advised to allow extra journey time or use alternative routes.
