Traffic engineering during Takbir night is situational

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Metro Jaya Police stated that traffic engineering during Takbir night welcoming Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah/2026 CE in Jakarta is situational. “Metro Jaya Police have prepared situational traffic engineering in the Monas area, Bundaran HI, the Sudirman-Thamrin corridor, and other supporting points,” said the Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, in his statement in Jakarta on Friday. Budi added that 903 security, safety, order, and traffic management personnel (kamseltibcarlantas) have been deployed to carry out regulation, guarding, traffic dispersal, and traffic engineering measures according to developments in the field. In addition, Metro Jaya Police are deploying 1,810 personnel to secure Takbir night welcoming the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah celebration in DKI Jakarta. “This security is part of efforts to ensure that Takbir night runs safely, orderly, and conducive,” he said. Budi explained that the number of personnel consists of 1,759 from Metro Jaya Police and 51 from subordinate police resorts. Furthermore, thousands of these personnel are distributed to several mapped security points with the main focus on the Monas area, Bundaran HI, and the Sudirman-Thamrin corridor. “Personnel are divided into Sector A Monas with 100 personnel, Sector B Monas with 274 personnel, Sector C Bundaran HI with 533 personnel, and kamseltibcarlantas security with 903 personnel,” he said.
