Traffic Engineering and Parking Locations for Jakarta's Anniversary at Bundaran HI

The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has prepared traffic engineering measures for the peak celebration of Jakarta’s 499th anniversary. The event will take place at the Bundaran HI, Central Jakarta, on Saturday, 27 June 2026. Head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency, Budi Awaluddin, stated that traffic engineering will be implemented from 14:00 WIB to 23:00 WIB. “We have prepared situational and gradual traffic management, along with alternative routes, parking areas, and public transport support. To ensure smooth traffic flow and public mobility, Dishub DKI Jakarta will deploy 475 personnel in the field to manage traffic, provide security, and serve the public during the event,” Budi said in a written statement on Thursday. The traffic engineering will affect several roads, including Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jalan MH Thamrin, Jalan M Mashabi, Jalan Sutan Syahrir, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Jalan Kotabumi, Jalan Teluk Betung, and Jalan Sumenep. Traffic on Jalan Kebon Sirih and Jalan KH Wahid Hasyim will remain normal. Dishub has also prepared 21 parking areas around the event location, including IRTI Monas, Plaza Indonesia, Grand Indonesia, and Gedung Sarinah, with a total capacity for 12,295 cars, 8,186 motorcycles, and 97 buses. The public is prohibited from parking on the roadside. To support mobility, the Jakarta Provincial Government is applying a flat fare of Rp 1 for Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta services on 27-28 June 2026. Budi urged the public to use public transportation and comply with traffic signs and the directions of officers on the ground.
