Traffic Eases, One-Way Scheme on Km 414-263 of Trans-Java Toll Road Lifted
Jakarta - The Indonesian Police Traffic Corps has begun lifting parts of the national one-way scheme for the 2026 Lebaran return flow on the Trans-Java Toll Road, as traffic conditions are deemed to be easing. Head of the Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, stated that the lifting is being implemented on the stretch from kilometre 414 to kilometre 263. He explained that following this lifting, the toll road segment will revert to normal two-way traffic, including for vehicles travelling from Pejagan to Semarang. Nevertheless, local one-way traffic engineering is still in effect on the stretch from kilometre 263 to kilometre 70 towards Jakarta, to anticipate congestion, particularly in the Cikampek area. “From kilometre 263 to 70, the second stage of local one-way operations is still ongoing,” he said. He added that the peak of this year’s Lebaran return flow occurred on 24 March 2026, with 256,388 vehicles recorded. In addition, the Traffic Corps is optimising the use of functional toll lanes to alleviate congestion, including at the Cikampek intersection point. “We will monitor predictions, the flow, and the traffic volume count of vehicles heading to Jakarta,” Agus said.
