A parade competition for the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s independence in 2026 will be held in Wates, Kulon Progo, tomorrow. Several roads will be temporarily closed. Here is the traffic management plan.

According to the Instagram account @satlantas_polreskulonprogo, the parade competition will take place on Wednesday (19/8) starting at 07.00 WIB until it concludes.

Several roads around Wates will be temporarily closed. In connection with this, the Kulon Progo Police Traffic Unit will implement traffic engineering and diversion.

The roads closed for the parade competition are the Dayakan three-way junction (SP3), the Bangun Ummah Mosque three-way junction, the Satria gold shop three-way junction, the Sanun three-way junction, the three-way junction near the Catholic church, the Kodim four-way junction, and the Asem Gede three-way junction.

The alternative routes are the Tobanan three-way junction, the Tunjungan three-way junction, Jalan Terbah – from the Asem Gede three-way junction heading west, Jalan Tentara Pelajar, Jalan Diponegoro, and Jalan Jogoyudan.

“We ask all road users to obey traffic signs, follow the directions of officers in the field, reduce speed when approaching the activity location, and prioritise shared safety and order,” wrote the account @satlantas_polreskulonprogo.
