Traffic Corps Relies on Advanced Technology to Manage Traffic for Ensuring Safety and Smoothness of Kemala Run 2026
Ahead of the Kemala Run 2026 event to be held at Bali United Training Center (BUTC) in Gianyar, Bali, on Sunday, 19 April 2026, the Head of the National Police Traffic Corps, Irjen Pol Agus Suryo Nugroho, personally inspected the readiness for security and traffic management at the event location. During the inspection of preparations for Kemala Run 2026, the Head of the Traffic Corps was accompanied by the Head of Operations of the Traffic Corps, Kombes Pol Aris Syahbudin, and the Head of Renmin of the Traffic Corps, Kombes I Made Agus Prasatya. The inspection was conducted comprehensively, from the readiness of digital technology to traffic engineering schemes to ensure the smoothness and safety of participants as well as the public. In addition, the Head of the Traffic Corps also checked the routes or paths that will be traversed by participants. The running route will pass through beautiful coastal areas, such as Jalan Pantai Saba, Jalan Pantai Purnama, to Jalan By Pass IB Mantra, which is known for its distinctive Balinese panorama. In his statement, Agus emphasised that his side has prepared various technology-based systems to support traffic management during the event. “We ensure all readiness, both in terms of personnel, technology, and traffic engineering, runs optimally. With the support of digital systems such as COMOB, K3I, precision drone patrols, and SMS blasts, we hope that security and traffic regulation can be carried out quickly, accurately, and coordinately,” said Agus. He added that the utilisation of this technology is part of the National Police’s transformation in providing more modern and responsive services to the public in the Kemala Run 2026 event. “Through the utilisation of this technology, we want to ensure that the public receives information quickly and traffic conditions remain under control during the event,” he continued. Several technologies used in the traffic management of Kemala Run 2026 include COMOB (Command Mobile), which is a vehicle or mobile command system equipped with advanced communication technology. COMOB functions as a field control centre to monitor situations in real-time and provide direct instructions during security operations. Then K3I (Command, Control, Communication, and Information) is an integrated system that supports decision-making, operation supervision, communication between officers, and the provision of field data quickly and accurately.
