The Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, stated that his side has prepared a scheme for the Lebaran 2026 return flow. The Traffic Corps will implement a special strategy to break up the return flow of holidaymakers heading back to Jabodetabek.

“The return flow also has a special strategy. Specifically, it involves the use of functional toll roads. This is very strategic. For example, during the return flow, Japek Selatan to Delta Mas to Setu will be used,” said Agus at the KMm29 Command Centre on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, North Cikarang, on Thursday (19/3/2026).

Vehicles from West Java will be able to use the available functional toll roads. The Bocimi toll will also be incorporated into the return flow scheme.

“So those from West Java, specifically private vehicles or non-large vehicles, will go through the functional toll roads. This is very good so that there are not many crossings at kilometre 66,” Agus explained.

“The Bocimi toll, from Parungkuda to Karangtengah, will also be used. In addition to the outbound flow, the return flow will also utilise it. That’s the strategy,” he added.

The Traffic Corps Head said that the details of executing the special return flow strategy will be adjusted to the prevailing traffic conditions. His side will continue to monitor the movement of public vehicles.

“The Traffic Corps with stakeholders, especially Jasa Marga, will provide total traffic updates crossing the tolls so that the steps we need to execute depend on what the traffic is like,” Agus stated.
