JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps is preparing the implementation of the national one-way phase three to anticipate the surge in return traffic on Sunday (29/3/2026).

“The Traffic Corps is preparing a precise scenario for one-way phase 3, which will be enforced from KM 390 in the Kendal area to KM 70 on the Cikatama toll road,” stated the Head of the Traffic Corps, Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho, in his statement as quoted from the korlantas.polri.go.id website, on Saturday (28/3/2026).

Agus said that this scheme is designed to manage the return flow from the East Java, Central Java, Solo Raya, and Yogyakarta regions to ensure it remains smooth towards Jakarta.

They are also considering the implementation of a precise national one-way from KM 414 on the Kalikangkung toll or an extension of the local one-way up to Batang, Central Java.

“The decision will be taken based on an evaluation of traffic developments, both on Saturday (28/3/2026) and Saturday (28/3/2026) morning,” Agus said.

Currently, national one-way phase 2 is still in effect, namely from KM 263 on the Pejagan toll to KM 70 on the Cikampek Utama toll.

In addition, the Traffic Corps is also implementing a contraflow scheme at several points, particularly on the stretch from KM 70 to KM 55 on the Cikampek toll.

Based on preliminary data, 22% of holiday returnees have not yet returned to Jakarta.

This means that 78% of holiday returnees have arrived in Jakarta.
