Traffic Corps Innovation in Managing 2026 Eid Homecoming Flow Earns Minister of Transportation Award

The National Police’s Traffic Corps (Korlantas) has received an award from Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi in appreciation of its dedication and contribution to the successful implementation of the 2026 Eid homecoming transport period. The award was presented via a certificate handed over directly by the Minister to Korlantas at the NTMC Korlantas Polri Building in Jakarta on Friday, 26 June 2026. During the event, the Minister expressed his appreciation for the solidarity and cooperation established between his ministry and Korlantas throughout the 2026 Eid homecoming and return flow period. ‘This award is for Korlantas, particularly the Head of Korlantas (Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho) and several key officials and their staff. It is an honour from us to Korlantas for the cooperation and solidarity during the Eid transport period, and we hope to continue working well together in the future to provide the best service to the public,’ he stated. Dudy emphasised that the award is a token of gratitude for the hard work and dedication of all Korlantas personnel under the leadership of Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho in ensuring smooth traffic flow during the Eid period. ‘Hopefully, this award can motivate our colleagues at Korlantas in carrying out their duties,’ Dudy said. According to Dudy, the successful traffic management during the 2026 Eid period was inseparable from the various innovations introduced by Korlantas, especially in regulating traffic on toll roads. ‘What Korlantas has done under Mr. Kakorlantas’s leadership, with innovations like the segmented One Way and the national segmented One Way, is a new breakthrough in how we overcome or break down congestion during Eid, particularly on toll roads. This has had an impact on services during Eid, allowing them to run smoothly,’ he said. He also expressed hope that public service innovations in the traffic sector will continue to develop in the future, including for the upcoming Christmas and New Year period. Dudy further stressed the importance of enhancing innovation and creativity in supporting public services.
