JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, took firm action by turning back heavy goods vehicles with three or more axles that were still passing through the Pejagan toll road section on Thursday (26/3/2026).

This policy was implemented to maintain the smooth flow of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah return traffic.

“To alleviate congestion in the homecoming and return traffic, operational restrictions on three-axle vehicles are also being enforced,” said Agus in his statement on Thursday.

In the photo caption received, the Traffic Corps Chief can be seen stopping a three-axle truck that was about to pass through the toll road section.

Agus emphasised that there is no tolerance for heavy goods vehicles violating the operational restriction rules during the Lebaran transportation period.

This action is a follow-up to the Joint Decision Letter (SKB) regarding restrictions on heavy goods vehicle operations to ensure the comfort and safety of homecomers.

He also urged logistics business actors to comply with the established regulations.

According to him, enforcement in the field will continue to be carried out against vehicles that violate the rules.

“The Traffic Corps urges logistics entrepreneurs to comply with those regulations, and enforcement has been carried out against violating vehicles to prioritise the smooth flow and safety of homecomers,” Agus stated.
