The National Traffic Corps of the Indonesian National Police (Kakorlantas Polri), Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho, stopped and turned back freight vehicles with three or more axles that were still recklessly passing through the Pejagan toll road area on Thursday (26/3). This step was taken to follow up on the Joint Ministerial Decree (SKB) regarding restrictions on freight transport operations during the Eid holiday period to ensure the comfort of holiday travellers. The police urged logistics business owners to comply with the regulations to maintain smooth return traffic flow. Enforcement against violations has also been carried out in the field. “To ease the density of outbound and return traffic, operational restrictions on three-axle vehicles are also in effect,” said Agus in his statement on Thursday (26/3). “The Traffic Corps urges logistics business owners to comply with the regulations, and enforcement has been carried out against violating vehicles to prioritise the smoothness and safety of holiday travellers,” he added. It is known that the National Traffic Corps of the Indonesian National Police, together with the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) and the Ministry of Public Works (PU), have imposed restrictions on freight transport operations from 13-29 March 2026 as part of Eid security measures.
