The Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas), Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho, has successfully received the Precision Award from the Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute (Lemkapi) at the National Traffic Management Centre (NTMC) of Polri on Monday (6/4). The award was given to Kakorlantas for his loyalty and performance in enhancing services, protection, and guidance to the public during the implementation of the Lebaran mudik and return flows in 2026. Edi Saputra Hasibuan, Executive Director of the Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute (Lemkapi), stated that the role of Kakorlantas is crucial as the spearhead of security for Operation Ketupat 2026. “I convey my appreciation to the Kakorlantas of Polri as the spearhead in securing Operation Ketupat 2026 that took place yesterday,” Edi said in an official statement. Edi mentioned that the success of Polri in securing the mudik and return flows received a positive response from the public reaching 94.3%. This, according to Edi, is based on research conducted by Lemkapi. “We, on behalf of the public, commend the success of Polri in securing the mudik and return flows yesterday. Our research results show that 94.3% indicate the policies implemented by the Traffic Corps of Polri in managing and controlling the mudik flow yesterday,” he said. According to him, various innovations and traffic engineering applied by the Traffic Corps of Polri, including the national one-way system on Java Island, became key factors in the smoothness of this year’s mudik flow. “Thank you for the performance of all Polri ranks throughout Indonesia, which we know involved many breakthroughs, many traffic engineering measures, including how Polri implemented one-way on Java Island nationally. I think that is very important for the annual mudik implementation,” Edi stated. Nevertheless, Edi Saputra Hasibuan hopes that this achievement does not make Polri complacent but instead continues to improve the quality of services to the public. “We hope that what has been done, this achievement, we hope Polri does not become satisfied, but continues to provide the best service to the public so that public trust in Polri will be even better,” Edi Saputra remarked.
