Traffic congestion towards Ketapang Port gradually eases

Banyuwangi (ANTARA) - Traffic congestion towards Ketapang Port, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, has gradually eased from previous logistics truck queues of 16 kilometres to approximately 7 kilometres on Saturday.

The General Manager of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Ketapang Branch, Media Syahrianto, reported that on Friday (4/9) night, the queue of logistics trucks heading towards Ketapang Port reached about 16 kilometres.

“However, today the queue of logistics trucks, in particular, has decreased to around 7 kilometres,” he said in Banyuwangi, East Java, on Saturday.

According to Media, ASDP continues to strengthen measures to handle vehicle density in the Ketapang Port area through the optimisation of vessel operations and intensive coordination with regulators and relevant stakeholders.

“We appreciate the patience and understanding of all service users in facing this condition, and ASDP is committed to continuing improvements and ensuring that ferry services continue to operate as optimally as possible,” said Media.
